About Jasper

Jasper Wilde (they/them) is a self-taught abstract artist and arts educator based in San Francisco. Their vibrant, expressive paintings explore emotion, connection, aliveness, and imagined landscapes through bold color, gestural abstraction, and layered textures. Wilde began making art consistently in 2020 and has since developed an active studio practice alongside a career in arts administration, communications, and education.

Wilde has exhibited their work at SFMOMA, Superfine Art Fair, Startup Art Fair, Root Division, SOMArts, Blue Line Art Gallery, Heron Arts Gallery, and Ruth’s Table. They have led workshops in abstract painting, mural-making, color theory, and social media storytelling at SFMOMA, MarinMOCA, Root Division, Ruth’s Table, Oakland Art Murmur, and ArtSpan.

Wilde is an Artist Representative on the Board of Root Division and has worked across the Bay Area arts community in artist services, communications, programming, and education. Their practice is rooted in a vision of collectivism, using painting to imagine and build a more liberated world.
